2015-11-27

At present, 60 percent of the people in developing countries and more than half of the people in the world live in rural areas. This volume focuses on how higher education can promote rural development by alleviating poverty in rural households. The book provides rich data on rural education in China and Australia through a comparative study of the Agriculture University of Hebei in China and Charles Darwin University in Australia.
