On 24-26 June, the 21st Session of Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity was held, with a theme on “Reinventing Cooperation in a Fragmented World”. Dr ZHAO Yuchi, Executive Director of UNESCO International Research and Training Centre for Rural Education attended the Forum and joined a panel discussion on UNESCO and the Future of Education: Challenges and Prospects.
The Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity was inaugurated in 2001 and has grown into one of the Republic of Korea’s most influential global dialogue platform. The 2026 Session has engaged the 6 candidates for UN’s Secretary-General (5 physically attended, 1 shared a video), joining the discussion on the reform of UN and re-shaping of multilateralism.
