Consultation meeting for Rural Community Learning Centres Capacity Building Project successfully held

On the afternoon of 9 February 2023, UNESCO International Research and Training Centre for Rural Education (INRULED) held a consultation meeting focused on their Rural Community Learning Centres (CLC) Capacity Building Project. . The primary aim was to discuss CLC project plan for the next phase. Mr. Qin Changwei, Secretary-General of the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, Mr. Xie Li, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Vocational and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education, Ms. Shen Chunshan, Director of the Urban and Rural Social Education of the Department of Vocational and Adult Education, Mr. Robert Parua, Education Specialist at the UNESCO Multisectoral Regional Office for East Asia, Mr. Zhao Tianzhou, Project Assistant at the UNESCO Multisectoral Regional Office for East Asia, Mr. Zhang Zhaowen, Executive Vice President of China Adult Education Association, Mr. Zhang Zhubeng, Deputy Secretary-General of China Adult Education Association, Prof. Zeng Xiaodong, Executive Director of INRULED, Prof. Wang Li, Prof. Li Xingzhou and relevant staff of INRULED attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Qin Changwei.

 

INRULED summarized and reported on the work of the CLC project in previous years, and presented a proposal for the new phase of CLC project, focusing on project background, objectives, implementation methods, outputs and outcomes. During the meeting, participating organizations and departments offered valuable suggestions for modifying the implementation plan of the new phase of CLC project, and expressed their willingness to participate in and support the project. INRULED will incorporate the feedback provided by all parties during the meeting to further refine the project proposal of the next phase of the CLC project.
