UNESCO INRULED and Chongqing Preschool Education College discuss cooperation

Chongqing, China, May 12, 2021 – The first working meeting of UNESCO International Research and Training Center for Rural Education (INRULED) and Chongqing Preschool Education College (CQPEC) was organized in Chongqing to discuss cooperation possibilities. Zeng Xiaodong, Executive Director of INRULED, together with relevant project staffs of INRULED, Liu Canguo, Secretary of the Party Committee of CQPEC, Chen Pi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Yang Chunhe, Vice President, Xiong Yi, Vice President, and Song Lingyun, Secretary of School of Continuing Education and relevant project staffs from CQPEC participated in the meeting. INRULED and CQPEC exchanged views on strategic partnership, and network establishing, shared ideas on cooperation in gender equality and female leadership, and early childhood education. The two parties reached a preliminary cooperation intention.

 

 

Liu Canguo, Secretary of the Party Committee of CQPEC, and Song Lingyun, Secretary of School of Continuing Education of CQPEC, introduced the basic information of the college. Chongqing Preschool Education College is a full-time public college of higher education approved by Chongqing Municipal People's Government and recorded by the Ministry of Education, with a hundred-year history of training preschool teachers. With the characteristics of "cultivating preschool teachers", "teaching young children", "serving the elderly" and "supporting rural development", Chongqing Preschool Education College contributes to rural revitalization. The college profoundly engages in early childhood education in rural areas, which fits well with the strategic development direction of INRULED.

 

Zeng Xiaodong, Executive Director of INRULED, gave a brief introduction of INRULED and expressed her views on the cooperation to promote rural gender equality and rural education development. In the future, the two parties will start in-depth corporation by researching early childhood education female leadership cases in rual areas and co-hosting female leadership forums in the infant and child industry.
