Cairo, Egypt, 20-21 February 2018 - The 5th Meeting of UNESCO Education Category 2 Centres was jointly organsied by the UNESCO Regional Office for Education in Beirut, UNESCO Cairo Office, and the Regional Centre for Adult Education. With the objectives of getting the Centres to give update on their programme and future work plan, and reinforcing the networks and collaborations, the meeting engaged over 30 representatives from each centres and relevant institutions. INRULED took the chance to connect the Centre’s programme and activities with Education 2030 Agenda by presenting its work plan and establish potential collaborations during the event.
Dr. Huang Ronghuai, Director of International Research and Training Centre for Rural Education (INRULED) and Dr. Zhao Yuchi, Office Director, participated in the meeting, along with representatives from 8 other UNESCO Category 2 centres, including:

Dr. Huang Ronghuai gave away INRULED publications to the Regional Centre for Adult Education during the visit.
In the meeting, INRULED connects the Centre’s programme and activities with SDG4 (Education 2030 Agenda), which won the appreciation and recognition from the officials taking charge of UNESCO Education Category 2 Centres as well as other centres.
In accordance with the arrangement of the conference organiser, INRULED delegates visited the Regional Centre for Adult Education in Minūfīyah, Egypt after the two-day meeting. As a result, two centres reached an intention to cooperate with INRULED in the field of rural adult education. INRULED also gave away some publications on rural education to the regional centre as part of the knowledge sharing.
